SEARS, MRS. ENID LIONS SIMS 
A resident of Hammond, she died Friday, May 6, 2005, at her home. She was
91 and a native of Madisonville. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home chapel, Hammond, Monday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until religious service at
11 a.m. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. She is survived by two sons and a
daughter-in-law, David Robert Sims, Savannah, Ga., and Joe Arthur Sims Jr.
and Julia Brumfield Sims, Ponchatoula; granddaughter and grandson-in-law,
Scotty Sims Johnson and James Johnson, Denver; grandson, William Sims, New
York; and a sister, Audrey L Alexius, Covington. She was preceded in death
by her first husband, Joseph Arthur Sims; second husband, Alfred R. Sears;
parents, Alphonse and Galatas Olympia Lions; and three sisters, Merci Shaw
Belanger, Minnie Hebert and Gloria Jones. "She lived life to its fullest."
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southeastern Development
Foundations for the Enid Lions Sims Scholarship Fund at SLU 10450, Hammond,
LA 70402 or North Oaks Hospice, P.O. Box 2668, Hammond, LA 70404.
