Her legacies are her only daughter, Pamela Sue Shelton Olano, her only grandchild, Alycia Bess Olano Ward, AlyciaÕs husband, Joseph Ronald Ward, Jr., and two beautiful great grandchildren, Harrison Joseph and Georgia Bess Ward. She is preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Rosa Abdullah Saba; her brothers, Abraham, Milton and Collie Saba and two sisters, Mary Saba Childress and Evelyn Saba Cerniglia. Alyce was born in Bogalusa on March 27, 1920. She and her husband moved to Hammond in 1947. Alyce was very proud of the fact that she created two impactful careers in Hammond - 25 years teaching school and another 25 years selling real estate. When Alyce retired, she devoted her life to her family, friends, and community and lived to travel and play Duplicate Bridge!
