He was 53 and a native of Hammond, Ind. Visiting at New River United Methodist Church, La. 22, St. Amant, on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by Matt Turner. Interment in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sheppard; mother, Eva Mae Sheppard; four daughters, Serenity, Cindi and Windi Sheppard and Kimberly and husband David Perry; son, James Sheppard and wife Crystal; sister, Patricia and husband Randy LeBaue; two brothers, Billy Sheppard and Thomas and wife Sandra Sheppard; and three grandchildren, Jaymie, Landen and Brennan. Preceded in death by his father, Freddie Robert Sheppard Sr.; and brother, Freddie Robert Sheppard Jr. Pallbearers will be David Perry, Chris Lambert, Ray Labauve, Tony Parr, Brandon Bergeron and James Landiche. Honorary pallbearers are Billy enery, Casey Sheppard, Jerry Lambert and J.C. Johnson. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
