SHOLES, CLARA
A retired cosmetologist and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday,
Aug. 15, 2007, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. She was 93, a former
resident of New Orleans and native of Wilson. Visiting at Payne Memorial
AME Church, 3306 S. Liberty St., New Orleans, on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 
10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Thomas
Brown. Interment in Providence Park in Metairie. She is survived by a
daughter, Beverly and husband Edgar Jackson of New Orleans; two sons,
Robert Sholes and wife Vida, and Judge Ronald and wife Valerie Sholes; a
brother, Charlie Sims of Hammond; eight grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sholes Sr.;
parents, Jeff and Ophelia Perry Sims; and a grandson, Ryan Sholes.
Fraternal Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
