SHRADER, ALICE CYNTHIA HOOVER
A resident of Belle Maison Nursing Home, Alice Shrader passed away 
peacefully Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. 
She was born Dec. 3, 1917, was a native of Ponchatoula and longtime 
resident of Baton Rouge.  Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 
9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. until religious services
at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived 
by daughter, Cynthia Shrader, of Lacomb; son, Julius Shrader and wife Jan, 
of Winnsboro; grandson, Jonathon; a great-grandson; sister, Audrey H. 
Bodker, of Ponchatoula; niece, Marybeth Marchbanks, of Oxford, Miss.; and 
nephew, Ed Bodker, of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by husband, 
Ronald Eliot Shrader; and parents, Julius and Lily Herring Hoover. She was 
a member of Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs and the Adult 10 Sunday 
School class. She was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School and LSU.
