He was a native of Lexington, N.C., and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the CSX Railroad, served as captain on the Charlotte, N.C. Volunteer Police Department and served as a reserve dispatcher for the Jefferson Levee District. He was also a member of several chapters of the Gold Wing Road Ridersand Amateur Radio System. Survivors include his wife, Frances Summers Sigmon; a daughter, Angela Cloutet of Slidell, a son, Tim Sigmon of Kenner; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His parents, Robert Lee and Irene Waller Sigmon, preceded him in death. Visitation will be Saturday at Leitz-Egan Funeral Home, Metairie, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will be in Garden of Memories. *************************************************************************
