SILVAN, BERTHA 

COVINGTON - Bertha Silvan, 54, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at St. Tammany 
Parish Hospital, Covington. She was a native of Okly, Miss. She is survived by 
three step-daughters, Rhonda Silvan and Terrance McGee, both of Covington, 
and Soncherie Silvan of Clinton, Connecticut; two sons, Lamel Silvan and 
Jermaine Silvan, both of Covington; two step-son, Melvin Silvan Jr., Clinton, 
Maryland, and Lawrence Tally of Covington; two sisters, Diane Overton and 
Joyce Williams, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Clarence Overton Jr. 
and Terry Overton of Covington; and 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be 
Saturday at Bethel Reform Methodist Church from 10 until the Rev. Wesley 
Cyprian conducts the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
