She was born Sunday, Oct. 23, 1938, in Satsuma, the daughter of the late Jessie Wiggins Sibley and Lillie Gordon Erwin Sibley. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Tickfaw. Surviving are her husband, Viron Lee Sistrunk; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Lea Sistrunk and Terry Manzella of Tickfaw; sister, Mary Alice Messenger of Walker; sister-in-law, Margaret Joiner of Tickfaw; half brother, Henry Sibley of Tickfaw; half sister, Winnie Gremillion of Denham Springs; grandson, Terry Manzella Jr.; and granddaughter, Jennifer Manzella Wager. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Sistrunk; three brothers, Eugene, Scofield and Jessie Sibley; sister-in-law, Shirley Oller; and two half-sisters, Ella S. Mack and Velma S. Muse. Casketbearers will be Jay Oller, Bobby Oller, A.G. Oller Jr., David Benton, Nolan Sibley, Gary Joiner and Ed Joiner. Friends will be received Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Tickfaw, with the Rev. Stanley Baham and Brother Bucky Lombard officiating. She was 80 and a resident and native of Albany. Visiting was at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Alton Foster and the Rev. Joe Dunn. Interment in Arnold Cemetery, Hammond. He was 77 and a Navy veteran. Visiting was at Antioch Baptist Church, Tickfaw, Wednesday, June 8, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Brother Stanley Baham and Brother Charles Bigner. Survived by his daughter, Janet Lea Sistrunk Manzella and son-in-law Terry J. Manzella Sr.; two grand- children, Terry J. Manzella Jr. and Jennifer Manzella Wager and husband Luke L. Wager; two great-grandchildren, Caleb L. Wager and Joshua J. Wager; and sister, Mary Margaret Sistrunk Joiner. Proceeded in death by his wife, Lillie G. Sibley Sistrunk and daughter, Betty Sue Sistrunk; parents, Melvin E. Sistrunk and Bessie B. Sistrunk; and sister, Shirley Sistrunk Oller. Pallbearers will be Jay Oller, Gary Joiner, Ed Joiner, Jerry Joiner, Walter Oller, David Benton, Dale Sauls and Rory Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Oller and Chris Oller. He was a 1954 graduate of Independence High School and served as a deacon at Antioch Baptist Church where he was a lifelong member.
