He was 90, born Thursday, April 2, 1914, in Clay, Ky. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, conducted by the Rev. Errol Faust. Burial in New Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include his two sons, Charles "Bill" Skinner and Johnny Skinner, both of Hammond; sister, Agnes Skinner Weiss of Brighton, Mo.; and three grandsons, Matthew, Justin and Jeremy Skinner, all of Hammond. Preceded in death by his wife, Onita Bigner Skinner; parents, William J. Skinner and Verda Bean Skinner; and brothers, Virgil, Vernon and Tommy Skinner. He was a member of New Beulah Baptist Church, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1098, Baton Rouge. ***************************************************************************
