He is a native of Walker. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Skipper of Denham Springs; three daughters, Gena, Judy and Jamie Skipper, all of Denham Springs; one son, Tony Skipper of Denham Springs; three sisters, Gena Skipper and Angie Martin, both of Walker, and Lisa Skipper of Holden; two brothers, Gilbert N. Skipper III of Holden, and Phillip M. Skipper of Walker. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Wayne Skipper. Visiting at Hosanna Assembly of God, 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Louis David Lamonica and the Rev. Rodney Taylor. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by husband, Roy Skipper, Ponchatoula; two daughters, Angie Blackwell Morgan, McComb, and Beth Skipper, Ponchatoula; a son, Alan Skipper, Waterford, Va.; two brothers, Troy Alvie Smith and Connie Ray Smith, both of McComb; mother, Marie Harden Smith Parker, McComb; and four grandsons, Sonny Rey Bigner, Mary Jane Bigner, Andrew Job Skipper and Joy Nicole Skipper. Preceded in death by father, Troy Smith; and two sisters, Lavon Freeman and Marie Lane.
