SLADE, ARTIE
Loranger News - Many friends of Mrs. Edgar Populas, of Loranger, extend
their sympathy to her in the loss of her father, Mr. Artie Shade (sic) of
Bush, who passed away at his home on Saturday, January 30.  He was 64 and
had spent his entire life in Bush.  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beulah
Davenport Slade; two daughters, Miss Myrtle Slade of Bush and Mrs. Estelle
Populas of Loranger; four sons, Dencil, Claude, Raymond of Bush, and Clyde,
U.S. Air Force, stationed by Big Springs, Tex.; one grandson, Ray Bahm, Jr.
of Loranger; one brother, Harvey Slade of Bush.  Funeral services were
Monday, February 1, at Hebron Baptist church; interment at Grantham
Cemetery at Bush; Brown Funeral Home was in charge.

SLADE, AVIS HATTON
Mrs. Avis Hatton Slade, resident of Roseland for many years, passed away
Tuesday in Philadelphia, Penn.  The body is being brought to Hammond for
interment at Arcola cemetery; Poole Funeral home is in charge.
