SLAGLE, CHARLES EDWIN "ED"
Charles Edwin "Ed" Slagle, 69 years old of Bogalusa, Louisiana, died 
Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his residence.  He was born on Sunday, February 
18, 1940, in Tennessee, son of the late Charles E. Slagle and Bertha 
Bowling Slagle.  He was a retired Taxidermist.  Surviving are his wife of 
23 years, Mary E. Derks Slagle; 5 children, Joann S. Anderson, Russell 
Slagle, David Slagle, Jerry Slagle, and Charles Slagle; 3 sisters, Vera S. 
Davidson, Billie Sue Lannom, and Wanda S. Meade; numerous grandchildren; 
one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Frys.  He is preceded in death by first wife, 
Angie Kubinski Slagle; 2nd wife, Edna Williams Slagle; sister, Lois S. 
Edmonds; 2 brothers, Judge and Bobby Slagle; and step father, Cecil 
Miracle. Friends will be received Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Harry 
McKneely & Son - Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, 
after 8 a.m until services at 11 a.m. with Rev.Leo Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bedico Community Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
