SOMMERS, DEBORAH LORAINE "DEBBIE" 
Deborah Loraine "Debbie" Sommers, 55, a resident of Ponchatoula, died
Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was
born May 30, 1950, in Meridian, Miss., daughter of Doris Clair Walker
Thrash of Fairhope, Ala., and the late Jimmie Harris Thrash. She was a
charter member of Spoga Fitness Club. Surviving are her husband, Doug
Sommers of Ponchatoula; two daughters, Janette Clair Sommers of Hammond and
Leigh Catherine Hathaway of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Justin
Sommers, Ashton Spano, Jillian Sommers and Hope Vizinat; a sister, Nancy
Gibson of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and three brothers, Ike Thrash of
Hattiesburg, Jim Thrash of Hendersonville, N.C., and Al Thrash of
Prattville, Ala. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son chapel in
Hammond on Monday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond. E-mail
