Native and lifelong resident of New Orleans and a resident of Tickfaw for the past 8 years. Devoted mother of Jan Fontaine, Pam Ridgel (Wayne), and the late Frankie Sparcello. Daughter of the late Wilfred Nox and Alice Nox. Sister of Carroll Devine, Wini Holt (Joe), Elizabeth Richoux (Loyman), Theresa Roper (Glenn) and Billy Nox (Laura). Loving Grandmother of Christopher, Candice, Philip, Stephanie, Nicholas and Isabella and one great grandaughter, Lexi. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 12:15 pm. Interment immediately following. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 12/25/2005 SPARCELLO, LOUIS DOMINIC Louis Dominic Sparcello, 81 years old and a resident of Tickfaw, died on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge. He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Clearfield, Pa., son of the late Jim and Theresa Abate Sparcello. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development in Vehicle Maintenance. Surviving are his wife, Lena Bua Sparcello; daughter, Theresa Sparcello Strate of Tickfaw; son-in-law, Master Sgt. David Strate Sr. of Tickfaw; three grandsons, Staff Sgt. David Strate Jr. of Colorado Springs, Calvin Louis and Kevin Anthony Strate of Tickfaw; two sisters, Josephine Sparcello Morales of River Ridge and Marie Sparcello Crews of Prairieville; two brothers, Tony Sparcello of Baptist and Frank Sparcello of Loranger; and two great-granddaughters, Alexandra and Madison Strate. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam, Joe, Jimmy and Vincent Sparcello. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Monday, Dec. 26, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 27, after 8 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. Religious service at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw on Tuesday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Dominican Fathers. Interment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery in Tickfaw.
