She was 88. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall in Grosse Tete on Thursday, March 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Arun John, celebrant. She will be buried in Rosedale Cemetery next to her husband of 60 years, Sidney Joseph Sparks Sr. Survived by her three daughters and two sons- in-law, Verna and Dudley Mobile of Maringouin, Bernadette and Willie Arnold of Liberty, Miss., and Brenda Sparks of Walker; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Sidney Jr. and Lorraine Sparks of Maringouin, Johnny and Donna Sparks of Torbert, and Mike Sparks of Rosedale; 16 grandchildren, Tony Arnold and Rhonda Brantly, both of Texas City, Texas, Bobby Arnold of Greenwell Springs, Gerald Sparks of Mandeville, Suzanne Hotard of New Roads, Stephen Sparks of Hammond, Shawn Sparks of Ocean Springs, Miss., Valerie Jarreau and Wanda Jarreau, both of Livonia, Kyle Sparks of Frisco, Sheryl Griffin of Watson, Betty Cole of Iola, Kan., Linda Braud of Geismar, Mikey Sparks of Grosse Tete, and Daniel Sparks and Michelle Sparks, both of Rosedale; 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Joseph Sparks Sr.; an infant grandson, Jarrod Sparks; two great-grandsons, Aaron Arnold and Michael Cole; and parents, Joseph Ulysses and Margeret Badeaux Bourgeois. Clara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grosse Tete. *************************************************************************
