Matthew 5:5-8. Charles Louis Spedale peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. He was 72 and a native of Baton Rouge. Survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Geraldine "Geri" Guidry Spedale; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael John Spedale, of Las Vegas, Steve Lane Campbell, of Dallas, and Charles Brent Spedale and Nada Spedale, of Loranger; a daughter and son- in-law, Kim Spedale Miley and Mark D. Miley; and eight grandchildren, Ryan Spedale, Aaron Spedale, Stefanie Campbell, Samantha Campbell, Jessica Spedale, Anthony Spedale, Houston Miley and Elizabeth Miley. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Frances Spedale. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to many. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman and gardener. He was an active participant in community service and an officer of the Knights of Columbus. Visiting at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhé.
