SPINKS, ROBERT LARRY
Robert Larry Spinks, 66 years old of Amite, passed away Friday, February 8, 
2013, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He was born on Thursday, 
June 6, 1946, in Independence. Robert was a God loving, faithful, caring, 
loving husband, father, and grandfather. He fought the good fight and 
finished the race, he kept the faith through 30 years of illness with the 
knowledge that our God is in control and that we are Blessed. Surviving are 
his wife, Janice Morgan Spinks; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and 
Dutch Vicknair of French Settlement, Teresa and Lt. Col. Joseph A. 
Musacchia Jr. of Amite, and Krystal and Otis Buddy Glover IV of Loranger; 
son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Barbara Spinks of Amite; 10 
grandchildren, Dutch, Kali and Manon Vicknair, Joseph, Anthony, and 
Magdaline Musacchia, Ethan and Caleb Spinks, Chloe and Buddy Glover; 2 
step-grandchildren, Jasie and Boc; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is 
preceded in death by his parents, Mary "Mag" Hughes Spinks and Fred Spinks; 
brother, Donnie Earl Spinks; sister, Dorothy Spinks Basham; and unborn 
child. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in 
Hammond, Monday, February 11, 2013, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Visitation 
will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am 
in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Church of
