SPORL, ETHEL MYDLAND 

NEW ORLEANS - Ethel Mydland Sporl, 100, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Hammond.  
She was a native of Hammond, a retired registered nurse and a member of Our Lady 
of the Rosary Church, New Orleans.  She is survived by one grandchild. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Louis Sporl; one daughter, Pat Sporl; two 
sisters, Christine Bevil and Mabel Robinson; and two brothers, George and Tennis 
Mydland. Entombment was Thursday in Metairie Cemetery.  Memorial gifts may be 
made to Holy Rosary Academy for Boys in care of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. 
Jacob Schoen and Son, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, was in charge.
