SPRATT, JUDITH GILL

A resident of Ponchatoula, she died on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, in Chicago. She 
was 46 and a native of Albany. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 
Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 pm. Monday. Religious services at Natalbany Baptist 
Church, Natalbany, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by Dr. Rodney Taylor. Interment 
in Wetmore Cemetery, Ponchatoula. Survived by her husband, Charles H. Spratt, 
Ponchatoula; a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Jonathan Johnston, 
Ponchatoula; two grandchildren, Mason B. Spratt and Nathan G. Johnston, both of 
Ponchatoula; and mother and stepfather, Glennie Brunet and Ronald Brunet Sr., 
Hammond. Preceded in death by her father, Loucious Gill.

SPRATT, ROSALIE HAIGHT

An educator who taught in the Tangipahoa Parish school system and a resident of 
Hammond, she died Friday, April 6, 2001, at Live Oak Assisted Living Center, 
Hammond. She was a native and former resident of Ponchatoula. Visitation at Harry 
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and after 
8 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, 
conducted by the Rev. Ralph Kimball. Interment in Wetmore Cemetery. Survived by 
two sons, Charles Haight Spratt, Ponchatoula, and Robert Acres Spratt, New Orleans; 
a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; two stepchildren, Mrs. Gene Page, Houston, 
and Jim Spratt, Seminole, Fla.; eight stepgrandchildren and 16 stepgreat-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, James B. Spratt; three sisters, 
Mary Muller, Louise Hungate and Julia Pedalahore; and three brothers, Edward 
Haight, Frank Haight and Rufus Haight.
