STALLWORTH, NORMA 
Norma "Big Momma" Stallworth was born December 26, 1933 in Ponchatoula, 
Louisiana and passed away on June10, 2010. Ms. Stallworth was a life-long 
educator and resident of Ponchatoula.  Ms. Stallworth was a faithful and 
lifelong member of New Zion Baptist Church in Ponchatoula. She retired from 
Tangipahoa Parish School Board after 30 years of service, and then went to 
work at TARC for over 10 years before retiring from there as well. Prior to 
her death she was employed at St. Amant School in Hammond, Louisiana.  She 
is survived by two sons and one daughter; Wade and Loretta West of Desoto, 
TX; Lee E. and Diana West, Jr., of Grand Prairie, TX; Phaedra and Marvin 
Pea of Hammond, LA and one sister; Mary Ann Burkhalter (Louis) of Compton, 
California.  Ms. Stallworth was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and 
Oena Watkins, one daughter, Melvenia Smith, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitations will be Friday, June 18, 2010 at Harvest Family Church in 
Hammond from 6: 00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, June 19, 
2010 at Harvest Family Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in 
Ponchatoula Cemetery.  Ms. Stallworth's family will receive friends at the 
Harvest School Cafeteria for the repast.
