STANLEY, MELVIN EUGENE 

Melvin Eugene Stanley, 47, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at North Oaks Regional 
Medical Center, Hammond. He was born in New Orleans, baptized into Greenfield 
Baptist Church, attended Greenville Park Elementary and graduated from 
Greenville Park High School. He later moved to Seattle, Wa. where he became a 
member of First AME Church before returning back to Hammond where he became a 
member of St. Paul Baptist Church. He worked for Swedish Hospital while living 
in Seattle. He is survived by his wife, Robin Rena Allbritton Stanley; a son, 
Damone Travis Stanley; siblings, Rovan Stanley and Ronald Stanley. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Altee Bowen and Rovan Williams Stanley; and 
one sister, Martha Idella. Visitation will be Friday at Greenfield Baptist 
Church, Hammond, from 3 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Larry Cross will conduct the funeral 
Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, Hammond. Burial will be in 
Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

STANLEY, SHIRLEY ANN

A medical transcriptionist at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond, and a resident 
of Hammond, she died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the medical center. She 
was 45 and a native of Delhi. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Visitation at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 
the service at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by Brother Lee Guffey and Brother Don 
Tate. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs. Survived by her husband, 
Barry L. Stanley of Hammond; mother and father, Evelyn and Kenneth Blackwell of 
Baker; a daughter, Tabitha Stanley; a son, Van Stanley; two sisters, Joyce Price 
of Baker and Teresa Lemoine of Fredricksburg, Va.; two brothers, Ricky Hale of 
Walker and Tommy Blackwell of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; and mother-in-law, Mary Stanley 
of Walker. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

STANLEY, WILLISTINE
Willistine Stanley, 61, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004.  Survivors include one
daughter, Lynette M. Carlton of Ponchatoula; two sons, Lavell Ross and
Kelvin Stanley, both of Hammond; three sisters, Rosemary Abron and Aline
Brown, both of Hammond, and Adrian Carter of Ponchatoula; two brothers,
Thomas Woods Jr. and Curtis Bellazer of Hammond; and her mother, Elvie
Brumfield of Springfield.  Visitation will be tonight at Richardson's
Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Curtis Bellazer will
conduct the funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Redemption Christian Center,
Hammond.  Burial will be at Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.
