He was born in New Orleans, baptized into Greenfield Baptist Church, attended Greenville Park Elementary and graduated from Greenville Park High School. He later moved to Seattle, Wa. where he became a member of First AME Church before returning back to Hammond where he became a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. He worked for Swedish Hospital while living in Seattle. He is survived by his wife, Robin Rena Allbritton Stanley; a son, Damone Travis Stanley; siblings, Rovan Stanley and Ronald Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Altee Bowen and Rovan Williams Stanley; and one sister, Martha Idella. Visitation will be Friday at Greenfield Baptist Church, Hammond, from 3 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Larry Cross will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, Hammond. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. N.A.
