She was 63, a retired administrative technician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and had also worked for Baton Rouge Production Credit for 18 years. She is survived by two brothers, Ellis E. Barber and Randy Barber, both of Franklinton; three sisters and brothers- in-law, Brenda and Ken Allen, Rita and Glenn Magee and Judy and Carl Thomas, all of Franklinton; special aunt, Betty Davis, of Roseland; and special friend, Dee Babin, of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Ruth Booty Barber. A memorial graveside service will be held at Magee Cemetery, Franklinton, on Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations be made to The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
