She was a native of Hammond and resident of Metairie. Ms. Lillian attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated from Loyola University. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution; Daughters of the Confederacy; Eastern Star; the New Orleans Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants; and was a respected and committed member of Metairie Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 nieces, Lynne Lay and Patricia Hillery, a nephew, Eddie Pickens, great nephews and great nieces and a great-great nephew. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Herbert Stanton, her parents, brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10 am at Metairie Baptist Church .
