Christopher J. Roussell conducted a private memorial service at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs for Peggy Drude Staton, 68, who died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. A native of Ponchatoula, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Staton of Denham Springs; two sons, Gary Pedeaux of Athens, Ga., and Matthew Pedeaux of Baton Rouge; a stepson, Troy Staton of Michigan; one sister, Frances Culbreath of Ponchatoula; two brothers, Kenneth Drude of Baton Rouge and Glenn Drude of Ponchatoula; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step-grandchildren. Her parents, Charles Yokum and Virginia Spottswood Drude; a stepdaughter, Kimmie Staton Capello; a brother, Edwin Drude; and one sister, Charlotte Wainwright; preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 8738 Quarters Lake, Suite 12, Baton Rouge 70809 or a charity of one's choice.
