STEADMAN, ERNEST HENRY
Ernest Henry Steadman, a self-employed businessman as owner of Steadman's
Furniture Store and Bedico Grocery. He was 90 years old. He died Tuesday,
February 20, 2007, at Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe, LA.  He was born
Saturday, July 27,1916, in Wilson, Louisiana, son of the late Ernest Andrew
Steadman and Clara Klein Steadman.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church and the Jefferson - Orleans Dance Club.  Surviving are four
daughters, Sylvia Gregorchik, Marie Ragan, Aurora Jones, and Carla Van
Vrancken; 5 sons, Donald, Michael, Richard, Glenn, and Chris Steadman; also
survived by 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia
Dargis, and Clara Nuccio; and a brother, Joseph Steadman.  He was preceded
in death by his wife, Aurora Beals and son, Ernest R. Steadman.  Friends
will be received Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Harry McKneely & Son -
Ponchatoula, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Services will be held in the Funeral
Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Justin R. Kauchak, O.P., officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery, Highway 445, Robert, La.
