STEIB, CHARLES JOSEPH 
Charles Joseph Steib, a resident of Hammond, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at
North Oaks Medical Center. He was 71, born Wednesday, Sept. 26, 1934, in
New Orleans. He was the son of the late Martin Joseph Steib and the late
Doretta Philomena Wiedemann Steib. He was a past member of the Strawberry
Capitol Coin Club, where he presided as treasurer, and he held the position
of vice president of Kappa Delta Tau. He taught mathematics at Southeastern
Louisiana University from 1959 to 1960, then at LSU-New Orleans from 1961
to 1965, and returned in 1965 to SLU, where he continued teaching
mathematics until he retired in 1993. Surviving are his wife, Frances
Madelyn Musante Steib; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig Martin and Tammie
N. Steib of Mandeville, and Derryl Paul and Kathleen Steib of Madison,
Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Dori Steib and Douglas St. Cyr of Hammond;
and three brothers, Wilfred, George and Henry Steib, all from the New
Orleans area. He also is survived by four grandchildren, four stepgrand-
children and three stepgreat-grandchildren He was preceded in death by a
sister, Evelyn Steib; and two brothers, Joey and Jules Steib. Friends will
be received on Tuesday evening, Nov. 22, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home, Hammond, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 7 p.m., and
again on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Service will be held at Holy
Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
Robert U. Perry, O.P., celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment
will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Hammond. E-mail

STEIB, REBRANDA GRACE
Rebranda "Brandy" Grace Steib, 40 years old of Garyville, passed away 
Wednesday, April 10, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident. She was 
born on Sunday, December 31, 1972, in Hartford City, Indiana. She was a 
1991 graduate of Hammond High School, and former model with John Casablanca 
Modeling Agency. Surviving are her husband, Sidney Joseph Steib III, son, 
Tyler John Burton, daughter, Katelynn Marie Hoover, son, Sidney Joseph 
Steib IV, parents, Mary Linda and Frank Van Mullem, brother, Paul Crocker, 
and 1/2 brother, Benjamin Manuel. Brandy is preceded in death by her 
grandparents, Paul Peter and Anna Peco Crocker. Friends will be received on 
Monday, April 15, 2013, at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 2 PM until 
the 5 PM Religious Service, conducted by Deacon Nat Garofola. Entombment 
will follow at Greenlawn Mausoleum, Hammond.
