STEIN, BARBARA BIGNAR
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Bignar Stein, 49, who passed away
Saturday at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, were held Sunday from New
Beulah Baptist church at Natalbany; with burial in the church cemetery. 
Poole Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.  She is survived by
her husband, Victor Stein; three sons, J. W., H. P., and Edward Jordan;
three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Birch, Mrs. Annie Laura Monistere, and Miss
Ann Stein; mother, Mrs. Emily Bignar; four brothers, Murphy, Herman, John,
and Norman Bignar; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Thompson, Mrs. Bessie Dunn,
and Mrs. Mary Simpson, all of Hammond; one grandson, James Glyn Jordan.

STEIN, PHILIP 
A resident and native of Hammond, he died Friday, June 17, 2005, at Baton
Rouge General Medical Center. He was 58. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, until
religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Gary Dennis. Interment
in Johnson Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Cook Stein,
Hammond; three daughters, Stacey Darlene Stein, Tracey Stein Disher and
Kaci Marlene Stein, all of Hammond; father, Earl Stein, Hammond; two
brothers, Bobby and Ricky; three sisters, Marie, Joyce and Jane; and three
grandchildren, Koty, Justin and Cayman. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Florence Stein; stepmother, Lucille Stein; and sister, Ann. He was
a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
