STEINACHER, ANA MARIA
Ana Maria Steinacher, 96 years old, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away 
Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Covenant Home. She was born on Monday, 
March 1, 1915, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, daughter of the late Josef and 
Maria Zellner Steinacher . Miss Steinacher was a devoted parishioner of St. 
James Major Church, where she belonged to the Sodality and the Altar 
Society.  Surviving are her friends, Phyllis and John Embrey.  She is 
preceded in death by her brother, Ansgar Steinacher and her sisters Ida 
Steinacher and Juliana Williams.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 
on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church in 
Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery.
