She was 82 and a native of Kentwood. Graveside service in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Survived by three daughters, Jeanette Kent and Jackie Tabony, both of Baton Rouge, and Jennifer Stepler-Camp, Seattle; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, William D. Stepler; mother, Annie Cutrer Blades; father, Eli Eddie Blades; two brothers, Charles Whit Blades and Elis Skinner Blades; and a sister, Ira Cook. McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in charge of arrangements.
