She was 89 and the eldest of three children born to Amanda Bringol Broussard and Edwin Ezekiel Broussard Sr. of Alexandria. She is survived by one son, three daughters, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. They are her son Thomas M. Stogner II, his son David and wife Tammy and their children Brandon and Kayla Stogner; her eldest daughter Murwyne Stogner Politz and her five children: daughter Laura Samson Martin and her three children, Sophia and Michael Martin, all of New Roads, and Allyson McKinney Berlin of Hammond, oldest son Dr. John K. Politz Sr. and wife Suzy and their sons Jack and Scott Politz, all of Austin, Texas, second son David M. Politz and wife Mitzi and children Sam and Gracie Politz of St. Francisville, third son Dr. Douglas E. Politz and wife Dr. Laura Politz and children Henry, Ava and Adele Politz of Gulfport, Miss., and fourth son Jason D. Politz and wife Elizabeth of Birmingham, Ala.; her second daughter Patricia Stogner Politz and husband J.R. "Bubba" Politz and their three children: a daughter, Shawn P. Simmons and husband Mike and their sons Patrick, Preston and Chase Killian of Baton Rouge, and two sons, Scott E. Politz of New Orleans, and Marcus R. Politz and wife Phyllis and their son Samuel of Prairieville; and her third daughter, Jeanne Stogner Scallan and husband Adrian and their son Joshua of Baton Rouge and their daughter Kim Scallan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, E.E. "Buster" Broussard Jr. of West Lake; and sisters, Hilda Broussard Tuttle of Baton Rouge and Esther Broussard Tillman of Lake Charles. She also is survived by her former husband, Thomas M. Stogner Sr. of Baton Rouge; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a retired employee of J.C. Penney, a longtime member of Naomi Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and Grace Baptist Church, and a longtime leader for the Audubon Council of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. She was an avid reader who loved plants, gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and she was an accomplished seamstress. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting on Friday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Miles D. Walsh and the Rev. Wayne King. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Jefferson Highway. Pallbearers will be Adrian P. Scallan, Joshua P. Scallan, Thomas M.
