STRINGFIELD, DIXIE PELHAM

A resident of Kentwood, she died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999, at 
Hood Memorial Hospital, Amite. She was 89 and a native of Hutchinson, Kan. 
Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 
after 10 a.m. Sunday. Religious services at the funeral home at 2 p.m. 
Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Mitchell. Interment in Spring Creek 
Cemetery, Spring Creek. Survived by two daughters, Polly R. Stringfield, 
Fort Worth, Texas, and Peggy S. Alford, Kentwood; two sons, Leroy P. 
Stringfield, Mountain Home, Ark., and Wallace A. Stringfield, Alexandria, 
Va.; two sisters, Roberta Bishop, Fort Worth, and Jessie Traulsen, Lacey, 
Wash.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death 
by her husband, Milton H. Stringfield; and a son, Milton J. "Jimmie" 
Stringfield.

STRINGFIELD, INEZ E.

A homemaker, she died the evening of Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Heritage 
House, Baton Rouge. She was 94, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of 
Tangipahoa Parish. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 9 a.m. 
until religious services at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Jerry 
Ratcliff and the Rev. Dr. Burn Page. Graveside services at Ponemah 
Cemetery, Bogalusa, at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Survived by two daughters, Avis 
Stringfield, Baton Rouge, and Geri Leblanc, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two 
sons, Cliff Stringfield, Baton Rouge, and Larry Stringfield, Pearl River; 
six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-
children. Preceded in death by her husband, Noel Eugene Stringfield. She 
was a member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. The family requests 
memorial donations be made to World Missions, c/o First Baptist Church of 
Baton Rouge, or to a favorite charity.

STRINGFIELD, ROGER WAYNE
Roger Wayne Stringfield, 65, native of Kentwood and resident of Walker, LA, 
passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Ochsner of Baton Rouge. Roger loved 
to cook and enjoyed cooking for his friends and neighbors any chance he 
could. he is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry 
Walker, and Bobbie Falcon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other 
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and 
Essie Marie Graham Stringfield; sister, Wilda Webb; and brothers, Russell 
and Donald Stringfield. A private memorial service will be held at a later
