ST. ROMAIN, AGNES 
She died at noon on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital
in Amory, Miss. She was a native of New Roads, a resident of Amory, and a
former resident of Independence. She was 92. Visitation was at McKneely
Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday. Visiting at the
funeral home from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Religious service at Mater
Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by
the Rev. Paul McDuffie. Interment in Stevens Cemetery, Independence. She is
survived by grandson, Alvin St. Romain, Natalbany; granddaughter, Melissa
Sierra, Amory; great-granddaughter, Amelia Sierra, Amory; and half-brother,
Lester Saizan, New Roads. She raised 22 foster children. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Lamartine Paul St. Romain.

ST. ROMAIN, MATTHEW  

INDEPENDENCE - Matthew St. Romain, 25, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, in an
automobile. He was a native of Jefferson. He is survived by his wife, 
Crystal Lynn Smith St. Romain; one daughter, Amberlynn Cherie St. Romain; 
his parents, Dale and Joel St. Romain; one sister, Krysta Ann St. Romain 
Navarre; his paternal grandparents, Reven and Louella St. Romain; and his 
maternal grandfather, Elie Williams Jr. He was preceded in death by his 
maternal grandmother, Shirley Williams. Visitation will be Friday at 
Geisler Funeral Home, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 
Warren Fortenberry conducts the funeral at 10.

A resident of Ponchatoula, he died Saturday morning, Feb. 5, 2011, at his 
home. He was 37 and a native of Port Allen. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral 
Home in Port Allen on Monday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 
from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Shawn 
Ostoj. Interment in False River Memorial Park, New Roads. Survived by his 
parents, Alvin and Loretta Urie St. Romain, Port Allen; son, Dylon P. St. 
Romain, Port Allen; daughter, Danielle ReneŽ St. Romain, Port Allen; 
sister, Dana J. St. Romain, Maurepas; mother of his children, Lucia Marie 
Decocco, St. Louis; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Carroll, Denham Springs; 
godparents, Mary Cornett, Port Vincent, and William McDowell; and special 
friend, David Hotard, Ponchatoula. Preceded in death by his paternal 
grandfather, Joseph F. St. Romain; paternal stepgrandfather, James Carroll; 
maternal grandparents, Paul W. and Mable Reddick Urie; and sister-in-law,
Dianna Wray. He enjoyed spending time with his children, hunting, fishing,
