She was born on Sunday, June 13, 1926, in New Orleans, daughter of the late Peter and Constance Maurer. Surviving are her husband, Elroy R. "Doug" Stromeyer Sr., son, Wesley R. Stromeyer, son & daughter-in-law, Elroy R., Jr. and Paula Stromeyer, son & daughter-in-law, Roger C. and Marcia Stromeyer, seven grandchildren, Angela Stromeyer, Wesley Stromeyer Jr., Alan Stromeyer, Monica S. Cummings, Kyle Henry, Ross Henry, and Jessica Perise, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Roger C. Stromeyer Jr., and her brother, Peter Maurer Jr. Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum Hammond, Louisiana. Roger Craig Stromeyer Jr., 29, of Robert, died October 26, 2006. He was a native of LaPlace. Survivors include his parents, Roger and Marcia Stromeyer of Robert; one daughter, Araina Maylyn of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister and brother in law, Monica and Ronny Cummings of Springfield; his paternal grandparents, Elroy (Doug) and Gloria Stromeyer of Hammond; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his maternal grand- parents, Barbara B. Mire and Edward J. Mire Jr. Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2006, at Geisler Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The service will be Monday, October 30, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
