Mary Lane lived most of her life in Jasper, AL, where her family settled in the late 1800šs. A life long history buff, Mary Lane spent the last twenty years chronicling the family history. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Confederacy and the Alabama Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Fred A. Shivors of Mobile, AL and is survived by her three children; Lee Stuart of Marietta, GA; Jerome Stuart of Hammond, LA; Sandra Miller of Hammond, LA; and six grandchildren, Max Miller, Stuart Miller, Lucy Miller, Wes Stuart, Kathy Stuart and Rob Stuart. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be given to the American Hospice Foundation. A private service will be held at a later date, in Jasper, AL. Arrangements by H.M.
