A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 62 and a native of Independence. Visiting was at Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. Religious service at Cypress Grove Baptist Church, Zachary, at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Felton Douglas. Interment in Live Oak Cemetery, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her husband, Walter Sullen Jr., Baton Rouge; two daughters, Cynthia Wessinger and husband Alfred, and Jacquline Melton and husband Charles; three sons and spouses, Alonzo and Velma Harris, Rodney and Antionette Smith, and Ricky and Rosetta Douglas, all of Baton Rouge; a brother, Simuel Rivers and wife Mattie, Houston; goddaughter, Jessie Mackie, Ethel; godsister, Gloria Gaines, Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
