He was a native of Ponchatoula and a student at McNeese University studying early childhood development. He is survived by one daughter, Emily Ann Summers of Livingston; his mother, Margaret Broussard of Sulphur; one brother, Aaron James Broussard of Sulphur; one sister, Kristi Lynn Broussard of Sulphur; and his maternal grandmother, Hazel Smith of Ponchatoula. He was preceded in death by his father, Deril Summers; paternal grandparents, A.B. and Grace Summers; and maternal grandfather, Norris Smith. She was a native of Hammond and a retired South Central Bell telephone operator with 22 years of service. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Alfred S. Guitrau, Denham Springs; two sisters, Lillian Hermann, Hammond, and Helen Bullington, Red Bluff, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Julie Hermann, Hammond; three grandchildren, Mary Alice Guitrau, Alfaretta, Ga., and Paul Guitrau and wife TJ, and Roger Guitrau and wife Cindy, all of Denham Springs; four great-grandchildren, Katie, Kevin, Allison and Ashley Guitrau, all of Denham Springs; and two great- great-grandchildren, Kaylie and Aaron Guitrau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Katie Hermann; and brothers, Louis and Herbert Hermann.
