She was a native of New Orleans and a member of Harvest World Outreach Ministries. She is survived by one daughter, Renee Sutherland; and four brothers, James Sutherland of LaPlace, Roy Sutherland of Mississippi, Henry Sutherland of Metairie and Thomas Sutherland of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her parents, James J. and Dorothy Pagent Sutherland. The funeral was conducted Wednesday. Burial was in Parklawn Cemetery, Hammond. He was a native of Effingham, Ill. He is survived by four daughters, Scarlet S. Ford, Penny Lynn S. Norsworthy, Pamela D.S. Mooney, Wendy S. Hurlburt; and one son, Nolan Kim Sutherland; three adopted children, Barry Neal, Margaret Dawn and Tina Marie Sutherland; one sister, Catherine "Kitten" Parker; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Sutherland and Ellen Jones Tullos Sutherland Welch; one son, Terry Lee Sutherland; and two sisters, Ione Janie Sutherland and Betty Lee Scafer. A memorial service will be Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Ponchatoula, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery. E.J.
