SUTO, HELEN GOTTSCHALCK 
An employee of Middendorf's Restaurant for 23 years and a resident of
Hammond, she died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center,
Hammond. She was 79 and a native of Independence. Visitation was at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April
9, 2004. Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until religious service
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2004, conducted by the Rev. Jeff McCon.
Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by a son, Ron Brumfield of
Natchez, Miss.; a daughter, Delores Brumfield of Hammond; a daughter-in-
law, JoAnn Brumfield of Natchez; two nephews and two grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Janos Suto; a son, Shenandoah Brumfield;
and parents, Millard and Bessie Bennett Gottschalck.

SUTO, JANOS      

A resident of Baptist, he died Monday, May 26, 2003, at his home. He was 77 and a 
native of Nagycsakany, Hungary. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 
Hammond, from 8 a.m. Thursday until religious service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. 
Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Helen Gottschalck Brumfield 
Suto, Baptist; a brother, Antal Suto, Hungary; two stepchildren, Ronnie Brumfield, 
Natchez, Miss., and Delores Brumfield, Hammond; and two stepgrandchildren, Suzanne 
Brumfield and Christopher Brumfield. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and 
Anna Suto; brothers, Peter, Pista and Steve Suto; infant Suto; and a sister, Francisca Suto.
