Ronald Freeman. Visitation at the church on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Louis Sylvester of Port Barre; six sons, David L. Sylvester Sr. and Jeffery G. Sylvester Sr., both of Baton Rouge, Kevin C. Sylvester Sr. of Hammond, Keith E. Sylvester of College Station, Texas, and Kendal I. Sylvester Sr. and Kyle T. Sylvester Sr., both of Opelousas; five brothers, Earl Doomes of Baker, Othus Doomes Jr. of Lafayette, the Rev. Wilson Doomes Sr. of Washington, Ronnie Doomes of Scott and Rodney Doomes of Washington; three sisters, LouBertha Gloston of Baker, Shirley Christopher of Baton Rouge and Geraldine Walker of Lafayette; and 17 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Othus Doomes Sr. and Cilstean Doomes; a son, Anthony Wayne Sylvester; brother, David Doomes; and two sisters, Ethel Mae Doomes and Linda Gale Tate.
