TAKEWELL, INA VAUNDELL  

PONCHATOULA - Ina Vaundell Takewell, 84, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, at North 
Oaks Regional Medical Center, Hammond. She was a member of the American Legion 
Auxiliary/Ponchatoula Post and Tangipahoa Volunteer Council on Aging. Survivors 
include two daughters, Brenda Barr of Covington and Marsha Reeder of New Orleans; 
a son, William Joseph Takewell of Hammond; four sisters, Margaret Hemphill of 
Sterlington, Polly Mohler of Luling, Sue Scurry of Tallulah and Helen Ervin of 
McComb, Miss.; two brothers, Billy Burch of Florida and Paul B. Burch of Columbia; 
and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Riley 
Takewell; and three brothers, Ozell, J.C. and Gaynell Burch. The Rev. Robert Deich 
will conduct a memorial service Monday at 2 p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home in 
Ponchatoula. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be made to 
Ponchatoula First United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
