She was 87. Religious service at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, at 4 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Bowman. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. She is survived by a sister, Edna T. Smith, Felixville; and a brother, Delos Talbert, Groves, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Perkins and Florence Amanda Jackson Talbert; a sister, Amy Talbert Crain; and three brothers, Hardy Talbert, L.P. Talbert and Owen Talbert. Pallbearers will be Delos Talbert, Ken Talbert, Bo James Garig, Jonas Garig, H.T. "Bubby" Jackson Jr. and Michael Hayden. She was 83, born June 4, 1920, in Amite County, Miss. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Tommie Talbert of Liberty; two sons, Glenn Carroll Talbert and wife Theresa of Baker and Patrick Alan Talbert and wife Marsha of Liberty; a daughter, Lori Talbert Bell and husband Benny of Wiggins, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Gregg Talbert of Atlanta, Leigh Moore of Spanish Fort, Ala., Shannon Holley of Hammond, Lindsey Hutson and Jessica Bell Jones, both of Liberty, Betsy Bell of Starkville, Miss., and Peyton Bell of Wiggins; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Catherine Moore and Laura Moore; a sister, Kathleen Eugino of Port Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Pipes Dixon and Mamie Durmmond Dixon; a son, William Thomas Talbert; and nine brothers and sisters. She was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. Visiting was at Brown Funeral Home, Liberty, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004. Visiting at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004. Religious service at Liberty Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. James Sadler. Interment in Terrell Cemetery, Liberty. Pallbearers will be Robert Causey, Dale Causey, Will Causey, Tommy Ratcliff, Melvin Blalock and Frank Powers.
