Billy's remains were donated to medical science through the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Bureau of Anatomical Services, and will be transferred by that agency to LSU Medical Sciences in New Orleans, to be used in teaching medical students. Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Burke Tarleton; and his grandparents. Billy is survived by his father, John C. Tarleton; and 11 sisters and brothers, Maureen Yaun, Patricia Grabher, Barbara Simmons, Donna Castella, Sandra Wooley, Edward, Gerard, John Paul, Russell, Matthew and Burke. A memorial Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral will be recited by the Rev. Gerard Young, vicar, on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Association of Retarded Citizens of Baton Rouge, the William Tarleton Fund at Hammond Developmental Center, 45439 Live Oak Drive, Hammond, LA 70401, or St. Joseph Cathedral through the Rev. Young. When cremated remains are returned from the Bureau of Anatomical Services, within two or more years, Billy will be laid to rest with his mother at St. Roch Cemetery in New Orleans. ***************************************************************************
