He was a resident of Livingston, a millwright with Turner Industries; a member of Little River United Pentecostal Church; he enjoyed motorcycles, building race cars and time spent racing with his son; he was devoted to and loved his church and his passion was his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Douglas Taylor and Linda Taylor Forbes. Survivors include his wife Betty C. Lee Taylor Jr., 79, a native of Hammond and resident of Albany, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Lee was a longtime member of the Seafarers International Union, a service engineer for Dunbar Kappler, of Batavia, Ill., and attended Woodland Baptist Church, Springfield. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in the 11th Airborne Division. Along with being an avid deer hunter, Lee also was founder and president of Lee's Hunting Club in Meadville, Miss., for 30 years. Lee leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Louise Greenlee Taylor; and their children, Terri Smith and husband Chad, Randall Lee, and Donna Taylor Wild and husband Byron. Linda Kay Roberson Taylor passed away peacefully at 8:12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Lakewood Quarters Rehabilitation Hospital, Baton Rouge, to receive her reward for a journey that crossed many paths and touched many lives. A native of Baton Rouge, Linda Kay was born Feb. 19, 1947, to the late Woodrow Roberson and Doretha Hawkins Roberson. Linda was educated in the public schools of East Baton Rouge Parish, graduating from McKinley High School in 1963. She received a bachelor's degree, master's degree and plus 30 hours from Southern University, Baton Rouge. She was a retired teacher, having taught for 29 years in East Baton Rouge and Tangipahoa parishes. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Youth Choir and Sunday school. Later, she joined the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she served as a member of the choir. Linda was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles W. Taylor on Dec. 27, 1967, a marriage which was blessed by God for 40 years. To this union a daughter was born. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter who always put God and the interests of her family first. She saw to it that her husband, daughter and mother were given the best she could provide, in loving care, spiritual nourishment and material comforts. Her family and friends share a mutual bond in remembering her warm and friendly personality. She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Taylor, Baton Rouge; daughter, Charlynn T.
