She was born on March 14, 1949 in Clinton, Louisiana to the late Jesse and Frances Ligon Ard. Linda grew up in Zachary, Louisiana where she graduated from Zachary High School in 1967. After high school she attended Louisiana College. She worked as a preschool teacher, was on the staff at Centreville Academy, and later worked in retail. Linda married Lynn Wallace in 1970 and Otis Temple in 1994. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, as well as a member of Centreville Baptist Church in Centreville, Mississippi for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, camping, nature, and her pets. She was an avid fan of Centreville Academy sports and LSU sports. Linda is survived by her spouse, Otis Temple, of Summit, Mississippi; her daughter, Cristie Wallace Herring and husband, Steve of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Jill Wallace Fletcher Jolley and husband, Steve, of Billings, Missouri; her stepson, Roger Temple and wife Misty of Kentwood, Louisiana; and her stepdaughter, Rebecca Simmons and husband, John, of Kentwood, Louisiana.
