Survivors include a son, Tommy A. Tenhaaf, Ponchatoula; her parents, George and Jacqueline Johansen Tenhaaf, Ponchatoula; her grandmother, Lavina Tenhaaf, Burlington; six sisters, Connie Tenhaaf, New Orleans, Sandy Sandifer, Waggaman, Karen Polen of Burlington, Iowa, Vickie Camardi and Cindy Tenhaaf, both of Ponchatoula, and Tracey Tenhaaf, Kenner; two brothers, Terry and Gary Tenhaaf, both of Ponchatoula. GEORGE MERLEA U. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in Hammond. He was 75, native of Burlington, Iowa and a resident of Ponchatoula. Visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula. Survived by his wife, Jacqueline Johansen Tenhaaf, Ponchatoula; three sons, Terry Tenhaaf, Tommy Tenhaaf and Gary Tenhaaf, all of Ponchatoula; six daughters, Connie Tenhaaf, New Orleans, Sandy T.
