THEZAN, VERNA BUSH

A resident of Metairie, she died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at East Jefferson 
Hospital. She was 85 and a native of Abita Springs. Visiting at Harry McKneely & 
Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 11:30 
a.m., conducted by Dr. Rodney Taylor. Interment in Oak Grove Church of God 
Cemetery, Loranger. Survived by a son, Rene Anthony Thezan, Metairie; a daughter, 
Eloise Thezan Fuzette, Metairie; four sisters, Leona Bush Willette, LaPlace, 
Audrey Bush Scafidel, LaPlace, Beulah Bush Freeman, Houma, and Jean Bush Mascair, 
Ponchatoula; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death 
by her husband, Edward Anthony Thezan; parents, Emile and Mary Bush; four brothers, 
Wilson, Daniel, Leonard and Marvin Bush; and a sister, Barbara Eloise Bush.
