She was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a retired bus driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Jan. 4, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday from noon until service at 2 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by three sons, Bryan D. Thoms and Troyce W. Thoms, both of Baton Rouge, and Daniel A. Thoms, of Robert; two sisters, Anita Hebert and Lila Nelson; a brother, Michael Templeton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, John Thoms; brother, Oliver Lane Templeton; father, Charlie M. Templeton; and mother, Estelle Templeton. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
