She was a native of Hillsdale and retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor. She is survived by two nieces, one great nephew and three great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ellis and Collean Sharkey Davis; and one brother, Leo "Puddin" Davis. A memorial service will be Saturday at First Baptist Church of Roseland.
