TILLMON, BERNARD F., JR.

SPRINGFIELD - Bernard F. Tillmon Jr., 80, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at the 
Department of Veterans Affairs in New Orleans. He was a wishful mater of the 
Masonic Lodge 295 in Albany, president of the Voters League and chairman of the 
Deacon Board at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, 
Edna M. Tillmon, Springfield; his son, Vellis Tillmon, Kenner; his daughters, 
Deloris T. Vincent, Baker, Dorothy Norman and Mary Tillmon, all of Baton Rouge; 
his brother, Lawrence Willis, Springfield; six grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 
Springfield, from 10 a.m. until the religious service at 1 p.m. The Rev. Warren 
Richards will conduct the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
