Larry served his country in the US Air Force for four years, from 1956 to 1960. He resided in Chalmette, La. for many years, and moved to Slidell in 1980. He was an agent for State Farm Insurance Co. for 23 years and was loved by many of his clients and friends. In retirement, since 1988, he enjoyed many of his creative passions: building his home from ground up, doing crafts, woodworking, and craft shows, gardening and being in nature, rescuing and caring for his many, many cat "children" and enjoying a simpler life. In 1993, he found "Home" in the woods of Hickory, LA. Many thanks and much gratitude to the professionals and "Angels" at Hospice Compassus, particularly Margaret Covington, who was his nurse. Her support and compassion for his final weeks were greatly appreciated by him and his family. He asked that all that knew him would remember him warmly and kindly, speak gently of him and wish him well on his journey with his Lord. He requested that there be no services, except for close immediate family, and that his ashes be interred with his wife, Sue, at the end of her days. May he have a safe journey to Paradise. He blessed us all by having him in our life and we will surely miss him forever. *************************************************************************** File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/tangipahoa/obits/obitssur/toledano.txt
